RCC Euchre Party

Looking for 40 people that would like to get together, play Euchre and meet other RCC members.

When: Feb 22nd , Saturday, 10:30am – 6:00pm

Where: Trinity Emanuel Lutheran Church, 761 Elmgrove Road
Rochester, NY 14624 (monthly club meeting location)

Euchre Party, Social get together & Food in the way of bringing a dish to pass. Please bring a snack to share with the group. Items could be chips, dip, veggies, chili etc. You need to supply your own beverages. The Church prefers not to have alcohol onsite. Doors will open at 10:30am. We will eat around 11:30am with cards to follow.

If your spouse / partner does not play Euchre but would like to attend, they are more than welcome. Would be great to have pairs of players. (you & spouse, you & friend etc) Maximum will be 40 people that will commit to play cards. There will be $10 per person cost to those playing Euchre. $5 for prizes and $5 going to our 2025 charity, Meg's Gift.

Apologize for limiting the number of players.

You must register and pay online with your credit / debit card to play Euchre.

Corvette Thunder in the Glen

This is a 2 day event with 3 separate activates. On Saturday May 17^th is a Car Show & Dinner in the evening. On Sunday May 18^th is a car show on Franklin Street (Main St.) with laps of the Old Course and Watkins Glen International. There is a cost for each of the 3 activates. You can participate in any 1, 2 or all 3 activates.

Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen

This is a multi-day event at Watkins Glen International culminating with the 6 Hour race on Sunday. There is a Corvette Corral on Saturday & Sunday. The Corral has guest speakers, raffles, autograph signing and food. This is usually on the inside of the track in Turn 1.

A number of RCC members attend this event. Some drive from the Rochester area on various day to attend the events. Others stay in the Watkins Glen area. I have a block of rooms for Thursday 19^th thru Sunday 22^nd. If you would like info on the rooms you can contact me, Doug Rigerman. My info is in the Membership Roster or see me at a club meeting. If you’re interested in tickets for the Corvette Corral for the races, contact Watkin Glen International 866.461.7223. Make sure you tell them you want tickets for the “Corvette Corral”. The Corral does sell out.

A great car show with over 400 Vettes on the shore of Onieda Lake in Slyvan Beach. Great day if you like to see Vettes from all generations. We usually have someone lead a group from Rochester. CARLISLE PA FAIRGROUNDS • Corvettes at Carlisle is the largest and most fun-filled Corvette event in the world. The annual Corvettes at Carlisle event features nearly 3,000 Corvettes representing all generations of America’s classic sports car.

A number of RCC members attend this annual event and have for a number of years. If you would like to find out what people think about this event, attend a meeting and ask.

Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival

At the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen, there is something for everyone! Parked along the main streets of the village you will find over 600 classic sports cars of all ages and marques for your enjoyment. In addition to live music, wine tasting, food courts, and assorted other family activities, a variety of vendors of racing items and related Merchandise are provided for your entertainment and pleasure.

If you own a qualifying automobile and would also like to participate in the festival, you are not alone. Nearly twelve hundred festival attendees will choose to participate in the Festival by registering, as driver/navigator teams, in one of seven Stone Bridge Driver events. Each of the participants in these events share two things in common: a passion for driving classic sports cars and a desire to relive some of the excitement of driving on the original 6.6 mile circuit during the festival

A number of RCC members stay the weekend and attend the SVRA (Sportscar Vintage Racing Association) Races on Saturday and Sunday at Watkins Glen International. These races require a separate ticket from the festival.

Some members stay in the Watkins Glen area Thursday to Sunday. I have a block of rooms for Thursday 4^th thru Sunday 7^nd. If you would like info on the rooms you can contact me, Doug Rigerman. My info is in the Membership Roster or see me at a club meeting..
