RCC General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant Tour

Cost: This event is free to attend
Location: General Motors Tonawanda Powertrain Plant, 2995 River Road, Buffalo, NY 14207 (Meet up at the Clarence Travel Plaza)
Event Description: Tour of the General Motors Engine Plant. C8 Corvette Engines are scheduled to be in production on the date of the tour
Schedule of Events:
- 10:30am-Arrive at the Clarence Travel Plaza (final attendance will be taken at this time)
-Address: New York State Thruway West Bound (WB), Milepost 412, Clarence, NY 14031 (Between Exit 48A Pembroke & Exit 49 Depew)
- 11:00am-Depart Service Center
- 12:00pm-Special Corvette Parking in the Horseshow Driveway in front of the Plant
- 12:30pm-Head upstairs for Welcome Meeting and Safety Video/ Tours will start immediately afterwards (safety glasses will be provided)
GM Tour Requirements:
A background check by General Motors is required for all attendees
RCC Vice President, Dennis Whitmore, will contact you for the following information:
- Full Legal Name “First, Middle, Last”
- Date of Birth
- Your registration is not confirmed until GM gives their final approval
This is an event that you are required to register for ahead of time, no one will be allowed to show up without being on the approved list
If you cannot make the event, you are required to let Dennis know ahead of time so he can inform the Plant
A valid form of ID is required to enter the facility. Example: Non-Expired Driver’s License
No phones/cameras will be allowed in the Plant, you must leave them in your car
No open toes shoes or Crocs- Must wear closed toed shoes-Sneakers recommended
No backpacks, purses or bags are allowed on the Tour
Short pants and Short-Sleeved Shirts are allowed
There is a limit of only 30 Corvettes allowed for this event. We can have up to 60 people, but they must be in the 30 Corvettes. There may be some carpooling required
This is a Rain or Shine Corvette event
The background information must be given to the Plant no later than Wednesday, August 27th to start the vetting process
