At the January meeting, the charity committee, along with Paul and Gail Dentinger, are asking members to sign a petition to allow Brainstorm Therapeutic, a pharmaceutical company, to market their stem cell therapy product called NurOwn. The trials of this product done by the company have had very positive results in Stage 2 patients with ALS. The hope is that with enough people signing the petitions, the product with become available to market more quickly. The FDA and Brainstorm Therapeutics will receive the petition.
Charity Chili Cook-off

A couple years ago, Nadine and George hosted a Corvette Club chili party at their condo party room, and it was a great success. The charity committee thought it might be fun to try it again, and this time focus of raising some money for the charity as well. Folks can sign up at the January meeting to bring a crock pot of their favorite chili, a tossed salad, a couple loaves of Italian bread, or another dish to pass. If your last name begins with A-M, please bring an appetizer. Those whose last name begins with N-Z, please bring a dessert. Attendees will vote on their favorite chili, and a prize will be awarded to the favorite choice. Besides enjoying some great food, games of chance will be available for extra entertainment. Half the proceeds from the games will of given to the charity.

Coffee, soft drinks and water, as well as paper goods will be provided.
A $5.00 donation per person will be collected at the door to be given to the charity.
